Purple and black

Old man, wear purple, a red hat.
But be fresh with comedy stuff
To scare crows away from crop.
With luck you may scare away
The blackest crow of them all,
Ever seen this side of the wall.

(Taking off on Jenny Joseph’s famous poem “warning”)
