At the bottom of the world
Was the well with its waters
Seemingly moving in a sky
When we bent over its rim.
As our bodies leaned we heard
A rattle in bones, an eye whirl
As in infinity a dwarf measured
On a demon king’s bent head.
Vertigo was a matter of the ear.
The frog in the side wall did not
Experience it , as was evident
In a cool croak our ears heard.
