A mustard for the dead

Wow , we see under a magnificent tree
A woman who has the corpse of a man
In her lap, in conversation with death.

Now we turn back and see our old sky
Gathering properties of rain and shine
A mustard in every house for its dead.

We turn back and see a buffalo parked
Before everyone’s house in our village
But everything is not such a discovery.

(In Hindu pantheon, Yama the Lord of Death arrives on a buffalo which is his vehicle, to take a life when its time comes. When asked to revive a dead man Buddha asks to bring a mustard from a house that has not seen a death)
