Ripe poets state good

Poor old woman and a ripe poet
Are walking in depressed street.

Poor old woman takes a comfort
From the poems of the old poet.

They taste good, plums of a poet
Plums are good in old hag’s bag.

Poet states plum poems of night.
Ripe poet says plums taste good.

Poor old woman is ripe as plum.
They state good ,ripening poets.

(Recalling the poem “To a Poor Old woman” by William Carlos Williams)
